I made it home from the hospital yesterday. Not an easy thing to do when your baby has to stay. All I want to do is go back to the NICU and spend time with Anna, but I also need to heal and not try to push myself too far too fast. A c-section is hard enough to recover from, but with all of the complications I have had, it will take me a while.
Anna has been wonderful for the last 24 hours. She came off oxygen yesterday morning, and has stayed on room air for over 24 hours! Don't you agree that she looks much cuter without a nasal cannula in her nose? And wearing the cute pink outfit that her grandma Laurie gave her?

She is working up on her feeding volume, and is getting 24 cc (almost an ounce) of formula every 3 hours. Her IV nutrition should be able to come off in the next day or so, which will mean no more IV! That will be a happy day, since she has already been through 5 IV's in 5 days. I'm sorry peanut...I know how awful that is! I am able to attempt breastfeeding her twice a day. She is not really that interested yet, but we are trying! Now if I can just get my milk supply to come in...how frustrating!
Thanks for stopping by...I hope everyone is doing well!
