Everything is status quo for now. My labs from this morning are very stable. The 24 hour urine from yesterday was improved from a week ago, so bed rest is helping. My blood pressures have been stable as well. And the non-stress test this morning? Reactive! Apparently the baby girl just needs to have breakfast right before the test. She was moving fine and had a few heart rate accelerations this time around.
I was attacked by many stethoscopes this morning - first a med student, 2 residents and the perinatologist, then my OB, then after my NST my nurse came in with not only a new nurse who is orienting but also a student nurse. Not only do they listen to my lungs with these stethoscopes, but each and every assessment includes using the stethoscope as a reflex hammer to check the reflexes in my legs. I'm going to hold a press conference next time so that they can all watch my reflexes at the same time. It's a good thing I am a nice patient.
I was told by "the team" this morning that I am defying all of the odds - they all expected me to deliver by now. They discussed in rounds how long I would be allowed to stay pregnant. If everything stays as stable as it has been, they would still deliver me sometime between 32 and 34 weeks, which would be the best thing for my body. (Ironically, that also happens to be the time frame that all 3 of my best friends are due to have their babies...my little one didn't want to be left 8 weeks behind!) I guess we will see how long my body can hold out!
