31 weeks today!

I was planning on posting yesterday, but someone tripped the main breaker yesterday at IMC knocking out the computers, the phone, and the TV for about 8 hours. That was a fun afternoon! I did get some reading done and had a few fun visitors to occupy my time.

So I made it to 31 weeks! Now I get to go for 32. My labs again look great this morning (although they had to draw me twice because the phlebotomist forgot to send a green top tube...of course these things happen to the "nurse patient" - I knew he didn't have enough blood the minute he removed the needle). They sent me downstairs today for another non stress test. Again it took a while to wake my baby up, but she had a few good accelerations toward the end of the test which looked great. My amniotic fluid is still measuring okay, so the baby is doing great. My blood pressure has actually looked great the last two days, mostly 130's over 80's.

Although I am getting tired of being here, I realize that things could be so much worse. My CNA was telling me today that she had hyperemesis (a condition when you vomit excessively) throughout her pregnancy and had to stop working at 4 months. So it's all a matter of perspective. I may be bored here, and I may end up with a preemie, but I feel absolutely fine. All I can do is hope to make it another week...we'll take it day by day!

On a side note, just a quick thanks to all of you who are awesome nurses out there...I have had a nurse the last 2 days that...well...quite frankly...is not such a great nurse. She makes me appreciate the nice, caring, thorough nurses out there. (Maybe she hasn't had healing connections classes yet!!) The only positive thing that has happened with her is that she took my IV out...they are letting me go without an IV for now, since they haven't done anything but flush it with saline for the last 9 days!

Jami- Congrats on the 31 week mark! Tell un-named baby to stay in there for just two more weeks... then you and I can be hospital buddies. :) No, I just want her to be as healthy as possible. Let me know if you need anything!
