My blood pressure is still 150's over 90's today, but Dr. Esplin and Dr. Gravelle still feel that an increase in labetolol may just mask my preeclampsia getting worse. So I will stay on the same dose of labetolol and we will continue to trend my blood pressures over the weekend. So far I still have no symptoms, and my labs continue to look great...so that is a good thing!
They took me downstairs for a non stress test today. Well, her heart rate was very stable, but my daughter is a stubborn one and was sleeping most of the time, so they didn't see the accelerations that they wanted to see. They went ahead and did a biophysical profile, which scores the baby on 5 different aspects: fetal movement, muscle tone, fetal breathing patterns, the heart rate strip, and the amount of amniotic fluid. She scored well on all but the heart rate strip from the non stress test (since she didn't really show any accelerations) so she got an 8/10, which is good. The nurse said that the amount of fetal breathing she was attempting was impressive for her being only 30 weeks. So they will do this test every Tuesday and Friday until I deliver.
I'm hoping to at least make it through the long holiday weekend without delivering...we will wait and see!
Thanks for all of the love and support...I have the best friends and family in the world!
