A painful experience...

I actually sat down and made a card this weekend for my cousin's fiance. Her bridal shower was on Saturday, and you know that I can't buy a card to go with a gift...I have to make one. Well, I had to call in sick for 2 of my work shifts last week because I couldn't feel my fingers (due to the lovely swelling and carpal tunnel syndrome I have developed during this pregnancy!). So I attempted to make a card, but I couldn't do much embellishing. Tying the ribbon and the silver cord was a painful experience to say the least. I have had great ambitions of putting together a pregnancy scrapbook like my cute friend Michelle did, but I don't know if that will even be an option now unless my hands cooperate. Anyway, here's the card I made for Whitley:


I used a shimmery gray cardstock, a patterned paper from a Simply Scrappin' kit, and regal rose cardstock. The stamp set is Happy Everything, and the ink is regal rose and going gray.

I also had to share this cute card that was on the SU demo website the other day. Honestly some people are so creative. This was done mostly with punches, and I think it is adorable. I haven't had time to play and come up with my own version of this card, but I had to share because I thought it was so cute. This card was submitted by a SU demonstrator by the name of Victoria Freeman. By the way, Ashlie, if you are reading this, I have tried 3 times to post a youtube video but so far it won't work. Remember when we were talking about the dance that I loved from last week, but I was having a "pregnancy brain" moment and couldn't remember which one? Well, it was the contemporary number for Katee and Joshua choreographed by Tice Diorio to Celine Dion's "All by myself". LOVED IT!!
