4 months old!!

I can't believe how much my daughter has grown! (Do you like the picture? Anna looks as surprised as I am. I love that expression!) She reached the 4 month mark on Sunday, meaning the bittersweet moment had come to go visit the pediatrician. The visit is sweet because I love to see on paper how much she has grown (and because I like her pediatrician), and bitter because she has to get her shots. Yuck!! 2 shots in her right leg and 1 shot in her left. She cried a few great big crocodile tears, accompanied by the saddest face you have ever seen, but she calmed down quickly.So...Anna weighed in today at 12 pounds 1 ounce, and she is now in the 17th percentile!! She is 23 inches long and in the 9th percentile for her height! She has grown so much from the little peanut that she was. Amazing!! Dr. Erickson about gave me a heart attack when he said she might need a head ultrasound because her OFC (her head measurement) had gone from the 5th percentile to the 86th percentile. (Hello?? Not a good thing to hear when I have taken care of 4 different brain tumor kids at PCMC in the last 3 weeks.) Luckily, the medical assistant just measured her head wrong. All is well...her head is only in the 20th percentile!! Phew!! Dr. Erickson also said that because Anna is a preemie, she probably won't be ready to start rice cereal or baby foods until 5-6 months. So I will stick to formula for a while. I switched to Kirkland formula (the Costco brand) and so far I love it. It is SO much cheaper, and Anna is tolerating it great! Happy 4 month birthday, Anna!! I love you!

12 lbs!?! She is doing awesome. I would have freaked as well. He should know better than to say that to you before they double checked! Her head is not that big. It is quite proportionate to her body. Love you and Anna to pieces. See you Thursday night.

She is growing so fast! My kids have all stayed with the 5th%. I love it when they stay little. I didn't start my kids on rice cereal until they turned 6 months. It is so much easier and cleaner when they just want to nurse. She is so darling. I love how she is always dressed in these pictures. How cute!!!

Hey there-those are such cute pics of Anna. Yes I got the Binky Clips and I loved them so did my sister. Emma just sat there and grabbed them and tried to eat them. I sent you a card. Hopefully it got there. Let me know if you got it!
