Today has been a great day. Not only was it a glorious Christmas day, but Anna turned 3 months old today. I can't believe how fast she is growing. I weighed her on my home scale tonight and she is about 10 pounds 10 ounces!
I hope you all had a fabulous holiday. Hopefully you were all able to spend time with your loved ones. I spent last night up at my mom's house. Nine adults, one baby and four dogs sleeping under one roof made for somewhat of a crazy madhouse, but I loved every minute of it! We awoke this morning to our tradition of watching "A Christmas Story" on TV until my grandparents came over, and then we went downstairs for a fabulous breakfast of sticky buns and grandma's eggs. Here is Anna hanging out with "GiGi" (my grandma Bonnie).

After breakfast, we shared our stories of what charity we gave to this Christmas. This was new for our family this year, but I hope it becomes a tradition. Brandon gave to the Angel Tree and also to a family in need. Cody and Laci gave money to a family in need as well, a single mother of 3 young kids fighting breast cancer. Trav and I sponsored 2 angels from the Angel Tree, a 2 year old boy and a 2 year old girl. Here are the gifts that we donated for them.

And Justin? Well, leave it to my youngest brother to make us all cry when he told us what he did with the money. Seeing an old slideshow of my grandma Katie (my mom's mom and Anna Kate's namesake) at a family party last week, Justin realized how sad he was that he never got to know grandma Katie (she suffered from Alzheimer's for many years and passed away when Justin was only 7 years old) and he decided to give his money to the Alzheimer's foundation. My little brother has a huge heart. I love you JJ!
We then opened presents. I got a beautiful sapphire necklace (Anna's birthstone) from Travis, and some fun PJ's from Cody. We all had the most fun opening Anna's gifts. My mom gave Anna a Baby Einstein discovery play gym (actually she gave her 2 play gyms so that we can leave one in Logan. Smart grandma!). She loves it!! She was smiling and kicking the minute we put her under the toys. (The ever-protective Daisy loved the toy as well!)

Here is a tired Anna wearing an adorable sweater that her uncle Brandon gave her. Happy 3 month birthday, my little princess!

I hope everyone had a safe and healthy holiday! Merry Christmas!
