Anxiously awaiting...

I have been anxiously waiting for my daughter to get over the "hump" of being so cranky. My pediatrician assured me that once they start smiling socially, the baby's irritability will start decreasing. I don't know if she just has a lot of neuro development going on, but boy is she opinionated!

(Are we sure that she isn't a redhead? She's as feisty as one!)

She has gotten a little bit better, but she still has been quite crabby lately. She really likes to be held, but sometimes even when she is fed, dry and held, she is still cranky. I am trying to teach her that it is really okay to be awake and happy...at the same time!! Oh well. I hope it continues to get better. On the flip side, she has been sleeping for at least 7 or 8 hours straight at night. That, along with her beautiful smile, is keeping me sane!
