I have been without an iPod for about a month now. It just up and died one day. I can't stand to listen to the radio anymore, hearing the same songs over and over again along with endless ads really annoys me. Anna and I have had to seek alternate entertainment while in the car. Yesterday, I buckled Anna into her carseat, got in the driver's seat and pulled out of the driveway. All of the sudden, my child's face lit up as she started to tell me a story.
"Once upon a time, there was a fairy.
She had very beautiful sunglasses with sparkles.
Then one day there was a monster.
He ate the sunglasses all gone,
And they were never, never seen again.
The End."
I was quite impressed with her storytelling abilities at 2 years old. Her imagination is starting to take flight! I guess I should have seen this coming when, just that morning, as I went to get Anna out of bed, she exclaimed "It's not the mean queen...it's just mommy!"
Good job, Anna!
