Anna-isms

Ok...I have been jotting down a few things that Anna has said and done for the past several weeks, but I am just now getting around to blogging about them. I wish I could keep a video camera on her 24-7. She is hilarious, tender, and so precious (most of the time!). I really want to remember how she is right now!
Can anyone freeze time?

A few "Anna-isms":

-When sitting up for lunch one day, Anna dropped a few morsels of food on the ground. "Oops-a-daisy!" she said. Then she dropped a cup on the ground. This time she said "Oops-a-lily!" I couldn't stop laughing. To her, it made perfect sense. (For any who are unaware, our dogs are named Daisy and Lily.)

-Anna had a cold in January and was a little bit miserable for a few days. She woke up from a nap with a very stuffy head. She was crying when I went in to get her and I asked her what was wrong. She looked at me with great big sad eyes and said "Anna not feel good...it not fair!"

-I asked Anna if she wanted some chocolate milk. She replied "Great idea!"

-We were going through the drive through at Wendy's, I asked Anna what she wanted. "Chicken and fries!" I asked her what else. "Ketchup!" Ok, I said. What else? "Brandon and Maday!" Hmmm. I doubt that Wendy's could comply with that request. Anna loves her uncle Brandon!

-Yesterday at Clint's funeral, Anna told my mom "Anna's hair not cute. It's gorgeous!"

-The other day when I was folding laundry, Anna found a pair of my underwear and a bra. She put both of them on and then happily exclaimed "Look, mommy! I got boobies! I got married!"
Not quite sure where the married part came from. She had taken the underwear off by the time I got a picture, but it was still quite amusing.
-Anna loves to dance these days. She is very into Angelina Ballerina. She will put on her "dancer dress" (which is any sort of tutu, skirt or dress), tights, and her "dancer shoes" (which is usually one white mary jane and one red mary jane) and prance around the house. The other day while she was in her dancer getup, she sat down at her little picnic table, took all of the lids off of her chapstick, and proceeded to "sip" a drink from the chapstick lid. When I asked her if she was having a tea party, she replied yes. When I asked her if she was drinking tea, she said (in a very matter of fact voice) "I'm drinking beer."
Classic.
-After the beer-drinking tea party she hosted, I thought it wise to get her a cute little tin tea set for Valentine's Day. She ADORES this tea set, and has played with it non-stop. The other day she was pouring tea for herself, Mrs. Potato-Head, mommy, and a line up of her horses.
-Anna loves to help mommy cook. On Valentine's Day, we made cookies. She had her own bowl and spoon to play with. I asked her what she was making as she stirred the fake substance in the bowl. "I'm making dinner." I asked what she was making. "I'm making sugar." That's my girl! Definitely a sweet tooth. I let her eat the cookie dough off of the beater....which she thought was awesome.
-Anna has had to learn how to cheer for a few different teams. During the superbowl, my dad taught her to say "Let's go Cheeseheads!" He's a huge Packers fan. Then my parents took her to a USU basketball game. She learned quickly to cheer "Go Big Blue!" or "Let's go Aggies!" I have also taken Anna to a few of the Utah gymnastics meets this year. She loves them, and has done better than I thought through the meets. "I go to gymastics, mommy?" Anytime she sees the Ute logo, she says "It's like Go Utes!"

What's your vote for the favorite Anna-ism? ;-)

Okay, they are all my favorite! The best one is when, after I left to get on the plane, she had big tears and said "Phoenix far away - Grandma will come back, Grandma will come back!" I love her so much, and next time I'll have to take her with me!

I miss that kid! Maybe tonight we can walk you through setting up the Kinect and we can video chat so we can see her.
