I did it!

I have a room full of hands on scrapbook supplies. I still love to scrapbook traditionally, but let's face it. Traditional scrapbooking is messy, takes forever, and I will never catch up! I haven't even scrapbooked my wedding, let alone the thousands of photos of Anna. So one of my goals this year was to start dabbling in digital scrapbooking. Well, I feel like I had my first major accomplishment today...I redesigned my own blog! Yes, I figured out how to "scrapbook" my own background, and I even designed the blog banner that you see at the top using Photoshop Elements. I have to say that I am quite proud of myself. This may be an easy thing for some people out there, but I am computer illiterate most of the time! I still couldn't figure out an easy way to frame the photos of Anna in the banner...if any of you have a great trick, please let me know. What I really need to do is take a Photoshop Elements class, which I will as soon as I can afford to purchase a laptop!

The digital supplies for both the background and the banner came from this digital kit called "Fresh Linen Collection" from The Ettes and Company. (Note: If you do not have a wide screen computer, you may not be able to see the background. I like my journaling area wide!)
What do you think??? I would love some reassurance and feedback. Now I need to actually start the scrapbooking process...

I am so jealous! It looks great! I want to figure out how to do this, but alas I think I am more computer illeterate than you, especially when it comes to photoshop. I can't believe how big Anna is getting, she is such a doll. Hope to see you soon!
