Where does the time go? My baby girl is 15 months old already! She had her check up today. The verdict? My little one is still a peanut. She weighs in at 20 pounds 1 ounce (9th percentile) and measures 29.5 inches long (28th percentile). Good thing she cleared the 20 pound mark since I have officially turned her car seat forward... ;-)
Anna did great with Dr. Jeff, but she was not a fan of the medical assistant. I don't blame her...the M.A. was taking her sweet time with the 3 shots. I really missed the cute blonde girl that we normally have...she is super fast!
Some of the things I want to remember about Anna at this age:
-She is starting to talk more. Her current vocabulary includes mama, dada, Daisy (for both Lily and Daisy), grandma, grandpa, buppa, baba (bottle) bubbie (blankie), bee (binkie), kaka (cracker), bye bye, Elmo, books, cheese, juice, up, uh-oh (finally - she just started saying that a few days ago), more, and chicken. My personal favorite is ouch, which she says clear as day, although I don't think she has a clue what it means.
-My baby girl absolutely and completely ADORES her blankies...she has 2 that she has to carry around at all times. When she is tired, she finds the corner of her cream blankie, holds it with both hands, and rubs it on the tip of her nose. So cute.
-She knows the animal sounds for dog, cat, cow, pig, horse, and duck. I have been trying to capture them on video, but of course she doesn't perform when I want her to!
-Anna would eat anything if you told her it was chicken or cheese. She could live on chicken nuggets, cheese, and mandarin oranges. She LOVES fruit snacks and goldfish crackers.
-She has mastered the art of going down the stairs, and it is one of her favorite pastimes. She slides down forward on her bum, which initially made me really nervous, but she is very careful. She is usually on her way downstairs to check and see if Daddy is awake yet...she loves her Daddy!
-She occupies her time by getting into mom's jewelry, arranging the hair brushes, playing with and arranging a variety of makeup brushes, arranging the boxes of jello from the cupboard, or stacking the mixing bowls. She has a room full of toys, but of course she would rather play in the kitchen or the bathroom.
-She loves the book "Love You Forever" and we read it at least 5 times a day. Usually 10 times a day. She loves any book that you will read to her, but that one is her favorite.
-Whenever she hears someone clap or yell "Yay!" she breaks out into applause and a cute silly grin.
-She loves to do "Ring around the Rosie" but won't fall down at the end...she keeps going around and around until she is too dizzy and falls down anyway. Another thing I have been attempting to capture on video...
-She won't sit and watch a TV show for more than 5 seconds (not even Mickey Mouse Clubhouse anymore) but she will sit through an entire Baby Einstein video. God bless those videos....
-She is an excellent sleeper. The other night she went to bed for Trav at 10 pm and didn't get up until 1 pm the next afternoon! Although this is not typical, she usually sleeps for at least 12 hours at night, and then takes a 1-2 hour nap during the day. I usually wake up before her in the morning and get a shower in!
That is just a few of the highlights of Anna at 15 months. She is such a good baby and is so much fun right now!

Our babies are getting so big! I'm so jealous about the sleep! You have to get the ring around the rosie on video. What a cutie!
What a cutie-I sure wish Zander had her vocabulary skills!
She is darling! I can't believe how tiny she is, well anything is tiny compared to my monster at home!
