I would like to send a unique birthday wish. Are birthdays celebrated in heaven? I don't know, but December 16th holds a very special place in my heart. Markelle would have been 12 years old today. I spent a few very memorable birthdays with her, the most special being her 7th birthday in Pittsburgh after her small bowel transplant and her 10th birthday at the Make a Wish Foundation for her star-raising ceremony. I hope she knows that I am thinking of her today.
Happy birthday, Rae-Rae! I miss you everyday.
