Bear Lake

There is nothing that reminds me of my childhood more than a day at Bear Lake. I love it all...the gorgeous drive up Logan canyon, the first view of the lake coming down off the summit, the sand that gets everywhere, the cold water, the fabulous fresh raspberry shakes, and yes, even the fact that I know that I will get a lovely painful sunburn even though I reapply sunscreen multiple times throughout the day.

Yesterday, my friends and I met up at a public beach on the west side of the lake. Casey and Briana brought all three of their kids. Mandy and Cindy carpooled with their kids (minus Campbell who started school this week). Casey's brother Curtis and his cute wife Kari met us there with their 3 kids. My mom made the trip from Logan with me. It was a perfect day...the weather couldn't have been better! We had a blast! We stayed until about 4:30 and then headed back to SLC. We didn't make it to LaBeau's this time for a raspberry shake, but we did stop at Maddox in Brigham for a very scrumptious dinner.

I don't have a lot of pictures to choose from since my camera battery died early on in the day, but Mandy took a ton of pics. I'm hoping that I can add to this post later. I did get a cute video of my little one splashing (just like last year!).

My cute mom and Anna
Max and Evelynn all ready to go swimming
The kids eating lunch
Max, Jake, Maizy, Zoey, and Madi
Anna and Evelynn
Playing in the sand...she didn't like the feeling of the sand on her toes at first, but by the end of the day she was covered! The water shoes really helped, although they were about 2 sizes too big. She had clown feet!
Briana and Zander
Mandy and Evelynn
Cindy and Max
Evelynn and Anna splashing. If you look close, you can see Evie screaming. She was in quite the mood for some of the day!
Digging for gold?
Check out my girl's splashing moves...the water didn't seem to phase her once she got used to it.

I usually only get to go to Bear Lake once a year (if that!) but this year my dad has the KOA booked for a whole weekend. So I get to go back in 3 weeks!

I have to ask how do you know Chelsea Haynie? She went to school with me and was one of my friends, I saw her and her sis Shar on your blog, is she family or do you know her elsewhere? Just curious what a small world it is huh?
All seems well and fun for you and your fam!
