A few Anna-isms

The girl cracks me up. I really could just sit and listen to her all day.

A few memorable things that Anna has said lately...

-The other day we were listening to Michael Buble. We listen to him quite a bit, but I have never really told her who it is. That day I happened to ask her who was singing. Not skipping a beat, she happily replied "Michael Boobs". Even better, his nickname has gotten shorter. Now it is just "Mike Boobs".

-Wandering through Carter's the other day, we found the most adorable little stuffed animal...a cow that sang Old Macdonald (I know, right? Perfect for my little munchkin). Well, Anna had all the shoppers well entertained as she danced to the music in her own little world. It was so cute that I sincerely considered purchasing the cow, until I glanced at the price. $35 for a small stuffed animal is a little steep. I told her we had to say goodbye to the cow. She looked up at me with great big tears welling up in her eyes, but then calmly picked up the cow and put him back on the shelf, giving him a kiss in the process. As we walked away, she said "Anna such a good girl". Seriously? That made me want to walk right back into the store and purchase the damn cow. Willpower...

-Whenever I am on the phone, or if I say something that Anna doesn't quite understand, she will blurt out "What you talking about, mommy?" Rather reminiscent of the late Gary Coleman. ;-)

-Anna was playing with her horses, putting them into the barn. When she couldn't get one of them out after a few tries, she got a little frustrated. Daddy to the rescue! Trav bent down and lifted the horse out of the barn. Anna's eyes grew very wide and she exclaimed "Good girl, Daddy! You did it!"

-A few weeks ago, Anna was asking for a taste of my Diet Coke. I told her no...it was way too close to her bedtime. She looked at me and said (with a rather exasperated tone) "Seriously...child.........Newman."

Like I said, that girl cracks me up.
